UNA Women's Day Event: A Polar Photography and Conservation Pop-up

On Sat., March 8: from 5-8:00 pm from the edges of the world, come explore polar photography and learn about conservation efforts at a community event to support Polar Bears International and honor International Women's Day with women leaders. Held at Aglaïa Coffee & Tea Co., 925 W. Chicago Ave. in Chicago with street parking or close public transportation.

Embark on a journey to some of the world's most remote and stunning landscapes—Antarctica, Arctic Svalbard, and Swedish Lapland.

Photographer, science teacher, and avid traveler Tracy Crowley share her global adventures, showcasing photography for sale dedicated to supporting Polar Bears International. This event is paired with a concurrent gallery show in Oregon by Linda Steider, also benefiting Polar Bears International.

The evening will also feature images by Peg Keiner, a National Geographic Explorer and Director of Innovation and Learning at GEMS World Academy, whose work cap-tures the beauty of the polar regions.

6-6:30 pm: Announcements and "A Community Conservation Talk" by Ema Kuhn, a biologist, adjunct professor of environmental policy at Johns Hopkins Univ., and polar tour lecturer, offering insights into protecting these fragile ecosystems.
