Higher Ed Sustainability Conference

On Friday, October 11 · 9am - 5pm. The focus of this conference will be discussing sustainable advancement projects at each of our universities, our roles as leaders of sustainability both in our student bodies, network weaving among students from other schools, and in the city of Chicago, and how we can continue to inspire environmental justice as students.  

The day will consist of: panel presentations and Q+A’s, round table discussions with students from surrounding Chicago schools, and brainstorming time to think about and prompt each of our school’s sustainability projects for the upcoming year. 

Timeline:

9-9:20: Meet and greet, coffee & pastries

9:30-9:45: Small Group Share Out (Intension Setting)

9:45-10:00: Transition to panels, set up tech

10:00-11:30: Panel

11:40-12:20: Lunch and Breakout rooms

12:30-1:30: Panelists Q+A

1:40-2:20: Breakout sessions, each table contains different student reps from different schools

2:30-3:30: Speakers, the importance of Sustainability and accountability on Campuses

3:40-4:30: A next steps/going forward section, “What must be done?”

4:30-5:00: Mingle, network, and exit ticket
